Food Service at the Life Center in Upper Darby
When there is a 5th Monday in a month, members of the Social Action Committee organize a food service for the Life Center. All members of the congregation are welcome to prepare entrees, salads, pasta dishes, vegetables, and/or desserts. No pork products, of course. Food is dropped off at Beth Israel between 5:30 and 6:00 pm, then taken to the shelter where BI members serve the dinner to the residents and others in need of a good meal. The next food service will be Monday, December 31--New Year's Eve! Party hats will be provided.
Contact John Greenstine to volunteer to cook, serve or donate.
Beth Israel Social Action Committee was recognized by the Life Center with an award for our 20+year service in this vitally needed program.
