Food Service at the Life Center in Upper Darby
When there is a 5th Monday in a month, members of the Social Action Committee organize a food service for the Life Center. All members of the congregation are welcome to prepare entrees, salads, pasta dishes, vegetables, and/or desserts. Food is dropped off at Beth Israel between 5:30 and 6:00 pm, then taken to the shelter where BI members serve the dinner to the residents and others in need of a good meal. The next food service will be Monday, December 31--New Year's Eve! Contact John Greenstine to volunteer to cook, serve or donate.
Beth Israel Social Action Committee was recognized by the Life Center with an award for our 20+year service in this vitally needed program.
